The Mystic & The Mage
The Mystic & The Mage has hosted and organized TCG tournaments, board game nights, and prototype events over the last ten years in Idaho, Utah, and California, and now runs a pop up shop for Magic: The Gathering singles, sealed, and accessories, and makes appearances at card shows, conventions, and comic cons in the area. Their premiere competitive event series, Gem State CEDH, draws 50+ participants from Idaho, Oregon, and Utah, twice a year, and works with local game stores and hobbyists to build and nurture a welcoming community for all ages and skill levels in the TCG space.

Have you ever wanted to dive into the universe of Magic: The Gathering, but never found the chance to start? Or started, but never really got into it? Here’s your chance! Pick a random Welcome Deck and sit down to play a quick tutorial with one of our seasoned planeswalkers. After you complete the tutorial, you get to take your deck home for free!
MTG Commander League: All Day (Every Day)
Bring your Commander Deck and get ready to play! Pick up a Bingo sheet for free and play games at your own pace. As you cross off achievements and earn points, you can use your points to claim prizes, such as random rares, sleeves, or even booster packs!

Pick a random Welcome Deck and sit down to play a quick tutorial with one of our seasoned planeswalkers. After you complete the tutorial, you get to take your deck home for free!

MTG Jumpstart Battles: 3pm - 9pm
Want to win a quick prize between rounds, or without playing in a grueling, hours-long tournament? Jumpstart battles are perfect! Pick one of ten random pre-made Jumpstart decks, and play a 1v1 game against one of our seasoned planeswalkers. If you win, you get a prize!
MTG Chaos Draft: 4pm - 8pm | $25 Entry
Get 3 booster packs for $25 and draft in a pod to make the best 40-card deck you can! Basic lands are provided! Every participant will earn 1 pack for playing, with more rewards going to the top players, and a surprise gift for a random participant!

Pokemon Trainer Meet-Up: 12pm - 3pm
Beginner Trainers and Gym Leaders alike are welcome to meet in the gaming area! Learn to play the Pokemon TCG, show off your starting lineup, or just come to trade for your favorite Pokemon! Help The Mystic fill her pool of Magikarp and she will reward you!
MTG Commander Tournament: 1pm - 4pm
Take command of your favorite army and play two rounds against three other planeswalkers! Participants will receive 1 promo pack for playing, and additional rare cards per round. Pods will be roughly matched based on the Commander Bracket System.
MTG Jumpstart Battles: 3pm - 6pm
